Sustainability forms an integral part of Silver Hill’s philosophy and this project has developed and built a fully integrated duck waste treatment facility, a World First. This involves the creation of a dry manure pellet for horticultural use and generation of green energy through the utilisation of biogas produced in our patented wastewater treatment plant. In recognition of our innovation towards achieving environmental sustainability we were very pleased to be the overall winner of the Thermal Energy category in the Sustainable Energy Ireland Awards 2004.
