Silver Hill Laboratory is situated on the home site and staffed by qualified technicians who monitor and test for hygiene and cleanliness in all departments.
All Silver Hill ducks are inspected during processing by Department of Agriculture Veterinary Inspectors and any duck that does not meet their very strict standards is rejected. Our own quality control inspectors also reject any duck that may have a skin imperfection caused by the plucking machines.
All Silver Hill ducks are air chilled to ensure that no added water is included in the finished bird to ensure a longer shelf for our fresh duck.
After maturation Silver Hill fresh ducks are delivered by chilled transport overnight to markets in Ireland, U.K. and Europe. Frozen Silver Hill ducks are delivered by refrigerated transport to the same markets and also to Hong Kong. Silver Hill Offals are transported by sea and rail to many other destinations.
Silver Hill operates to the highest standards of HACCP and we are also BRC Grade A. approved.
